The ethics in engineering unit was a great introduction to the world of engineering and the precautions that need to be taken when undertaking any project. Understanding both sides of any issue us engineers are attempting to solve is incredibly important because every piece of technology has the power to alter the world and often does in its own way. Taking measured to ensure that your creation doesn't put lives at risk and can't be used for evil. The philosophy of engineering is something that often goes under the radar in engineering spaces. The unit surrounding ethics gave insight on the requirements of each project that aren't related to the numbers.
Recently, I have been putting a lot of energy into my college applications, philosophy class, and calculus class. I've had to put in a lot of effort for calculus and I think it might be the hardest class I have ever taken. Philosopy is incredibly interesting and I love that I've been given tools to analyze my life to a further extent than I was capable of doing before. And for my college apps, they suck a lot; my mom is having me apply to a ton of collegesso that I can have plenty of options. The downside to this is that I have double the essays to write that I have colleges to apply to. I've got tons on my plate, but I'm happy to be busy. Working hard now, playing hard later.
